It seems a universal experience for writers to be hesitant about talking about their works in progress. Whether for fear of judgment, accidentally spoiling the plot, or another reason entirely, we tend to be a private, reserved bunch. However, when given the chance to delve into grittier details of the "writer life," I've found that most writers are actually more than eager to chat about the behind-the-scenes process of creating a novel or short story.

I recently had such a privilege when I interviewed with Kim Bullock, one of the assistant editors at Writer Unboxed. The site, founded in 2006, aims to publish groundbreaking and provocative ideas about fiction craft and the publishing business. In the interview, we dove a bit into the makings of Unraveled, my path to publication, and some general advice on writing.

A massive thank you to Kim and the staff at Writer Unboxed for putting this together! Click here to read the full interview.
